AERODYNAMIC BREAKTHROUGH
Team Ignis is proud to announce a major breakthrough in aerodynamic performance as we gear up for the STEM Racing National Finals 2025. Through rigorous wind tunnel testing, CFD simulations, and precision engineering, our latest car design now boasts an impressive drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.30. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our pursuit of speed, efficiency, and sustainability, reinforcing our commitment to cutting-edge innovation in motorsports.
Our engineering team has meticulously refined the car’s aerodynamics by optimizing its body shape, incorporating smooth contours and strategic airflow channels to reduce turbulence. Enhancements to the rear wing angle and diffuser design have also improved downforce while minimizing drag, ensuring better grip and stability during high-speed cornering. Additionally, the use of lightweight yet durable materials has allowed us to craft a high-performance racing machine that balances speed, efficiency, and sustainability.
This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, technical expertise, and innovative spirit of Team Ignis. As we push the boundaries of design and engineering, we remain focused on our mission to ignite innovation, inspire change, and drive sustainability in motorsports. Stay tuned for more updates as we prepare to showcase our cutting-edge design at the STEM Racing National Finals 2025!
Team Ignis Conducts Wind Tunnel Testing at UiTM Shah Alam
As part of our continuous efforts to refine our STEM Racing car, Team Ignis recently had the privilege of conducting wind tunnel testing at the Fluid Lab, School of Mechanical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam. This collaboration provided us with a valuable opportunity to analyze the aerodynamic performance of our race car, using advanced testing facilities to measure drag, downforce, and airflow efficiency. These insights are crucial in enhancing our vehicle’s speed, stability, and overall race performance.
The wind tunnel tests allowed us to gather critical data to further optimize our car’s aerodynamic profile. By studying how air flows around the car, we can make informed design improvements that reduce resistance while maximizing stability and efficiency. This experience also reinforced the importance of industry-academia collaboration, giving our team access to expert knowledge in fluid dynamics and cutting-edge research techniques.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to UiTM Shah Alam for their support in this endeavor. With every test and refinement, we are getting closer to achieving engineering excellence and competitive success at the STEM Racing National Finals 2025. Stay tuned for more updates as we push the boundaries of innovation, sustainability, and performance!
Team Ignis Partners with GMI for CNC Machining of Aluminum Wheels
